§ 6.24.050. Injury to animal by motorists.

Every operator of a motor vehicle or other self-propelled vehicle upon the streets and ways of the city of Belen shall immediately upon hitting, striking, maiming or running down any animal give aid as is reasonable under the circumstances. In the absence of the owner, he or she shall immediately notify the A.C.O. furnishing sufficient facts relative to such injury.
